Custom Cabinetry & Tile Work

The finishes people run their hands over.

What this work is, in plain language

Custom cabinetry means boxes, doors, and faces built for your actual walls instead of forcing your walls to accept standard sizes. Tile work covers floors, showers, backsplashes, and tub surrounds — where layout, lippage, and grout lines separate careful work from fast work. Both are slow trades by nature, and we schedule them honestly.

This is for you if…

  • Homeowners whose rooms don't fit stock sizes — odd corners, tall ceilings, old-house dimensions
  • Anyone who has seen bad tile work up close and refuses to live with it
  • Remodel clients who want the cabinets and tile handled by the same accountable person as the rest of the job

And honestly, not if…

  • If stock cabinets fit your space and budget, they're often the smarter buy — we'll tell you when that's the case instead of upselling custom

Problems this work solves

  • A bathroom or kitchen with dimensions no stock cabinet matches
  • Shower tile that was rushed and reads crooked from the doorway
  • Original built-ins in an older home that need matching, not replacing
  • A backsplash or floor pattern that needs real layout planning

What's included

  • Free on-site walk-through and measuring with Sarah
  • A written start date on the contract before your deposit
  • Design and material selection help — without pushing you upmarket
  • Custom cabinet construction and installation
  • Tile layout planning, setting, and grouting
  • Waterproofing behind wet-area tile
  • Final walk-around before the job is done

How the job runs: The Written Start

  1. 01

    Walk It

Sarah walks your bathroom in person, before any number exists. She looks at the actual room, the actual walls, and the actual plumbing — not photos.

  2. 02

    Date It

Your start date goes on the contract, in writing, before you pay a deposit. If we can't commit to a date, we tell you that instead of taking your money.

  3. 03

    Build It

Same faces, day one to done. One name on the contract, one person to call. If something changes, you hear it from Sarah first — and you hear it early.

  4. 04

    Sign Off

A final walk-around with you before anyone leaves. You point at anything that isn't right, and it gets handled before we call the job finished.

Honest timeline expectations

Custom cabinets need build time before install day — typically a few weeks of shop work, then days on site. Tile runs by the room: a backsplash in a day or two, a full shower in most of a week when waterproofing cure times are respected. We put those cure times in the schedule instead of skipping them.

What drives cost up and down is explained plainly — no figures, no games — on our pricing page.
